from p.4 on Monday, October 6th

  • The skyline
    kisses the twinkling
    city lights,
    cars bustle by
    and the moon glows
    on my goose-bumped legs.

  • Early in the
    morning, the
    plastic rake snatches
    the rustic leaves,
    holding them captive
    in the bag cage.

  • Tears are replaced
    by a nervous snicker
    as the lecture ensues,
    teaching me the
    rights and wrongs of

    the life I must
    survive.
