From p.1 on Monday, Sept., 22nd

  • Distant shouts
fill every molecule in the air.
    Broken hearts left unstable.
    Questions circle around my head.
    Standing alone.
    Who's to blame?

  • My sister
    looked at me with
    evil eyes
    as I told her
    I will spread my
    wings and fly.
Evil eyes said, then I will
    clip your wings.

  • A clean gutter not
    attached to any sewage
    glistened reflecting
    sun to all corners
    of the pool.

  • Seeing her
    twirl and laugh
    in her blue
    tutu. Adorning
    eyes on her
    beauty, Oh
    what I would
    give to
    have my
    innocence
    back.

From p.4 on Monday, September 22nd

  • Hearts racing
    Embracing
    Opportunity is a can't miss
    Stolen kiss.

  • The dark sky cried
    inside, I stared out
    thinking of nothing.
    Slicing through the sky,
    a magnificent luminescence.

  • I drive past those
    roads once more,
    day after day,
    I watch the green
    grass turning yellow,
    the leaves leaving
    the trees, the roads
    cracking as winter
    approaches.

from p.1 on Monday, September 15th

  • An autumn aspen leaf.
  • Almost paper-like,
    has a scent of wildfire
    smoke, human like in
    the way that it has
    nerves/veins.

  • Her wood burning
    tool was hot. It
    steamed as it
    touched the wood.
  • It was her escape
    if only for a small
    amount of time.
    Only leaving her and
    the sizzle of the
    wood; and smoke in
    her eyes.

  • Shiny screen
    worn from the time
    I have dropped it.
    White.
    Marked with various
    finger prints.
  • Something so
    small means so
    much to me
    sitting waiting
    wishing for a
    buzz.

from p.4 on Monday, September 15th

  • This net has lines
    and stripes, but is
    mostly empty.
    It's actually a
    division from one
    side to the other.
  • This object is not
    allowed to be touched,
    but reminds to be
    aggressive, work with
    my side, but
    against the other.

  • The old clock
    yellowing with age.
  • It holds me as a
    hostage in each class
    before I am saved by
    the bell.

From P.4 on Monday., Sept. 8th

  • The roaring engine of
    a blood-red lawn mower
    cuts the mint green
    grass into cheese grater
    pieces.

  • I dragged my
    feet across my
    carpet, getting
    closer and closer to
    my soft freedom.
    I leaned forward,
    face first into the
    refreshing coolness
    of the pillow.

  • Lights flash
    scream and yell
    the orange wave roars
    in-com-plete!

Monday, September 8, 2014

from p.1 on Mon., Sept. 8th

  • Shining lights
    hung above us
    like a thousand twinkling stars.
    While the Earth
    crumbled around
    us, slowly losing
    our grip.

  • Whispering kind words
    in her ear,
    knowing that it is
    exactly what she wants
    to hear.
    She falls for him &
    he walks away.

  • As the Indian guitar
    played, I smiled
    at my parents
    and ate my
    biryani. Out with
    my parents on
    a Friday night.

Thursday, September 4, 2014

From p.4 on Wed., Sept. 4th

  •  Under the stars' total quiet
staring at the fire while we
    make our smores.

    Puppy trying to jump
    in the fire
    to eat all the sticks
    that are burning.

  • Soft red lips,
    and a warm feeling
    from an unfamiliar face.

From p.1 Wednesday, September 3rd

  • a cool breeze
    danced through my
    hair as I sat
    and watched the
    world pass by.

  • On Pearl Street
    A sticky, hairy
    man walks up
    and asks,
    "Want to Party?

  • Unwanted attention
    needy hands
    lustful eyes.
I stand as the boys prey.
I am but a fox in
    a sea of hunters.
    Wishing my shirt
    wasn't so low-cut.
